Swissotel Le Plaza in Basel, Switzerland, will host this year’s European Polymers, Laminates, Adhesives, Coatings and Extrusions (PLACE) Conference, May 22-24. The theme is “Innovation Crossing Borders: The Conference to Foster Inter-functional Ideas and Solutions,” and this year’s event will focus on the latest trends and technologies relating to extrusion, coating, or lamination of web-based materials and applications.

The International Nanotechnology Conference for Renewable Materials, June 5-8, will be held in Montreal, QC, Canada. Focusing on cellulose nanomaterials, the quality of presentations and poster sessions is consistently high and attendance for this conference continues to grow. October 3-6, TAPPI partners with RISI to launch an international tissue conference, Tissue 2017, to be held in Miami, FL. The event will cover tissue market developments, manufacturing innovations and strategic market insights.
