Save the Dates: 2017 Conference Preview

TAPPI and its partners will be hosting multiple conferences this year, many of which will be held at locations outside the US. Now is the time to mark your calendars and plan to grow your industry knowledge. Here’s a sample of what’s in store for 2017.

PaperCon will take place in Minneapolis, MN, April 23-27. For the past two years, PaperCon has exceeded expectations, with sold-out exhibit space and record-breaking attendee numbers, so this year is certain to be another high-achieving event. More information is online at www.papercon.org.

Swissotel Le Plaza in Basel, Switzerland, will host this year’s European Polymers, Laminates, Adhesives, Coatings and Extrusions (PLACE) Conference, May 22-24. The theme is “Innovation Crossing Borders: The Conference to Foster Inter-functional Ideas and Solutions,” and this year’s event will focus on the latest trends and technologies relating to extrusion, coating, or lamination of web-based materials and applications.

The International Nanotechnology Conference for Renewable Materials, June 5-8, will be held in Montreal, QC, Canada. Focusing on cellulose nanomaterials, the quality of presentations and poster sessions is consistently high and attendance for this conference continues to grow. October 3-6, TAPPI partners with RISI to launch an international tissue conference, Tissue 2017, to be held in Miami, FL. The event will cover tissue market developments, manufacturing innovations and strategic market insights. Peer-reviewed sessions encompassing technical aspects and best practices to help improve mill operations, machine efficiency and converting improvements will also be included.
