ANDRITZ Successfully Completes Biomasspower Plant Project in Hungary
International technology group ANDRITZ has handed over a state-of-the-art
biomass power plant to Hungrana, Hungary’s leading sugar producer. The new plant marks a
significant milestone in Hungrana’s efforts for increase sustainability and production efficiency.
ANDRITZ supplied the plant on a turnkey basis, from design and manufacture to erection of the boiler
and related equipment, including associated civil works.
Now fully operational, the modern plant enhances Hungrana’s ability to produce steam from renewable
resources, reducing its reliance on gas. It has the capacity to generate 32 tons of steam per hour at
12 bar(g) and 220°C using wood chips as fuel.
