American Roller is pleased to announce it has acquired the assets of Schaefer Rolls in Covington, Virginia. The terms of the transaction will not be disclosed.
This further expansion by American Roller is consistent with the strategy to increase capabilities around
industrial rollers and further penetrate markets as the company grows. The Covington team brings a wealth of knowledge in the paper industry and enhances the company’s capabilities to do mechanical services in this area and further strengthens skills and capabilities in precision grinding and large roll capability.
The team in Covington, VA is led by Mike Phetteplace, Plant Manager who will work closely with Todd Meyers, Vice President of Industrial Cores.
“We have known American Roller for years, and in the last 3 months, we have had the opportunity to
work closely with them to put our plans in place,” said Plant Manager Mike Phetteplace. “The people,

started with them.”
American Roller is set to make more announcements in the summer of 2024 and reports that many
more improvement opportunities have yet to be realized.
