For 110 years, TAPPI has focused on helping members solve problems, connect, and learn from other professionals while amplifying their voices within the industry. It all goes back to our start in 1915, when 30 enterprising papermakers gathered to form a new technical arm of the American Paper & Pulp Association (APPA). Their idea was to disseminate technical information for the benefit of the entire
industry. This forward-thinking group’s goal was to create a forum where information could be channeled and ideas exchanged. In less than a year, TAPPI was born and now, 110 years later, we celebrate the success of all our members. Throughout 2025, TAPPI will hold a series of events celebrating its unique history, and we invite you to get involved.
110 YEARS OF RECOGNIZING THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST
Join the festivities at TAPPICon in Minneapolis, MN, where a gala and awards ceremony May 4, will honor the accomplishments and achievements of TAPPI members who are nominated for these prestigious awards by fellow volunteers. In addition, the newest class of TAPPI Fellows will also be inducted at TAPPICon 2025. TAPPI Fellows are an elite cadre of elected members of no less than 10 years who have contributed meritorious service to TAPPI and/or the industry at large. TAPPI has been inducting Fellows for nearly 60 years.
